The Studio of Kenny Kiser
I’ve taught private voice lessons for over 30 years, working with singers of all ages and experience levels to better understand their voice and grow in confidence, artistry, and expression. Some of the singers I’ve worked with perform professionally across the country; others simply find more ease, joy, and connection in their singing. All are welcomed here.
My teaching is grounded in a classical approach to vocal technique, which provides a healthy, sustainable foundation for the voice. Students interested in musical theatre or contemporary repertoire are warmly welcomed, and we tailor the work to support each singer’s goals and interests.

Private lessons offer focused, individualized attention — the most effective way to develop vocal technique. Because consistent study and practice are essential, especially for singers new to the studio, new students begin with an 8-week lesson series. After completing that series, students may continue in 4-week lesson blocks to support ongoing growth and continuity.

Absolutely. While technique is taught through a classical foundation, repertoire is chosen collaboratively. Musical theatre, contemporary styles, and other genres are welcome, and we work together to ensure the music aligns with both vocal health and personal interest.

Lessons are primarily held in my home studio in Robbinsdale, a Minneapolis suburb. Virtual lessons and in-home lessons are also available based on student needs and availability.
